News Release It is with great honor that Taishan Sports Industry Group Ltd Inc was recently granted a total land area of 700 mu from the government (115 US Acre/466,589 square meter/5 million square feet) to build the largest and most advanced High Tech Sports Park in China. The long term plan is expected to cover 1600 mu (264 US Acre). Taishan Sports Industry Group Ltd Inc recently started building the China High Tech Sports Industry Park west of Leling City. The Sports Park is strategically located in the cross of two highways, JingFu and DeBin, 30 miles from Bohai Sea, and 43 miles from Beijing-Shanghai railway. It only takes 2 hours by high-speed train or highway to reach Beijing, 1.5 hours to Tianjin, 40 minutes to Jinan (the capital of Shandong Province), and 30 minutes to Bohai Sea. The short term plan covers 700 mu (115 US Acre/466,589 Square Meter/5 million square feet) land and 265,000 square meters (2.9 million square feet) of building area, while the medium/long term plan covers 10.8 million square feet of land. The new land will be primarily used for a new office building and R&D space which includes a production plant for high polymer carbon fiber sports new material, high tech fitness projects, high-end athletics equipment, environmentally friendly energy saving products and finally a testing and quality inspection and service section. This is an excellent opportunity to further expand Taishan’s presence in China and strengthen its leading position in the manufacturing industry. With a grand total investment of US$730 million, this project aims to finalize the construction phase of the Sports Industry Park with complete production, teaching, training, logistics, testing and R&D facilities all before the 2012 30th London Olympic Games. This three phase expansion will take a total of three years to complete: Phase I: Total Investment for Phase I is US$292 million. Total building area is 63,394 square meter (682,364 square feet), among which 30,014 square meters (323,066 square feet) are dedicated to an office building, while 22,400 square meters is for Taishan’s i-dong online game machine production and testing plant and 10,980 square meters for a production plant. The building will also showcase the 2008 Olympic Sports Equipment Museum and National Sports Technology Center. Phase II: Total investment for Phase II is US$219 million. 36,880 square meters (396,971 square feet) will be used for the production and testing of high tech, energy saving, environmental sports material. Taishan also aims to build the world’s largest high polymer carbon fiber sports new material production base and China’s largest high-end athletics equipment production base and outdoor-indoor fitness equipment, R&D and production base including national Ping-Pong, golf, tennis, handball, hockey, baseball, softball and bowling program development base, and production base for sports apparel, shoes and balls. Phase III: Total investment US$219 million. This final phase will cover an area of 28,800 square meters for testing and quality inspection, comprehensive services and training centers. Taishan aims to work with experts in the sports field, while using the most advanced R&D and testing equipment to build the largest national sports equipment testing base, and the largest national environmentally friendly sports rubber material production base. Taishan will also collaborate with the central government to build the China Sports Industry Professional Training center. Capitalizing on its excellent location, Taishan will also build the largest sports industry logistics center to serve its national clients. The Long Term Plan of this extensive project is to build approximately 30,000 square meters (322,916 square feet) of recreation and meeting centers for its employees and the city.
